Shaun (Sha) Grogan-Brown

Shaun (Sha) Grogan-Brown has worked to strengthen movements for social justice as an organizer, fundraiser, artist, trainer and consultant since the late 90s. He is currently the part time Grassroots Fundraising Coordinator for Grassroots Global Justice Alliance. He worked on staff with Committee In Solidarity with the People of El Salvador (CISPES) from 2001-2008. As Development Director, he coordinated four major grassroots fundraising programs making up over 90% of the $500,000 budget, and worked to integrate grassroots fundraising with anti-racist leadership and political development of CISPES members at all levels. From October 2009 through June 2010, Sha served as the Grassroots Fundraising Coordinator for the US Social Forum 2010. He is co-founder of two small consulting groups, On Point Consortium and Rise Fundraising, dedicated to increasing the effectiveness and self-sustaining capacity of organizations through trainings and coaching on fundraising, organizational development and financial and database management. Sha also has a virtual toolbox of skills that he likes to put to use in all of his work, including graphic design, Spanish-English translation and interpretation, and technology support. In his free time, he teaches art workshops to youth and creates and sells original artwork through Sha’s Community Supported T-shirts.
